Copper Coils
Copper Condenser coils in 2, 3 and 4-inch diameters! I hand make all of these
4-inch Copper coil – quadruple. Made for 4-inch Copper Reflux Moonshine stills. It has two 3/16th coils. It had two quarter inch coils. This is welded to a 4-inch cap. There are four (4) flair fittings. This is for cooling. Fits inside the column.
3-inch coil Condenser Coil
Three inch triple copper coil for 3-inch distillation tower for our copper moonshine still unit, the “Alchemist”. The outside copper coil is quarter inch. The inside copper coil is a double helix, size 3/16ths. Two one-quarter-inch brass compression fittings, and also 3/8ths. Comes with a three-inch cap. Soldered. Made in the USA. It is a triple coil instead of the double helix in the other coil. Custom made for you is possible as well. For all your distillation column needs. Or about distillation, call me.
Copper Condenser Coil 1.5
1.5-inch reflux coil for your copper column. It is 10-inches long. 3/16th copper pipe. Single Spiral. Made in the USA.
Copper Condenser Coil 2-inch
Double Helix copper coil, 3/16ths with a 2-inch copper cap. This has 2 one-quarter-inch brass compression fittings and soldered to the cap. One lb. Fits inside a two inch copper pipe. This is handmade from 3/16ths copper tubing. This is used for cooling down the vapors inside the tower. Once the vapors have been cooled to a certain temperature they will turn back into a liquid. This is the job of the coil. Does not come with glass tube, call us for that.
2-inch Copper Condenser Coil without Cap
Copper moonshine still coil for the distillation column. To cool down. Condenser for moonshine still column. The condenser is the heart of the still. It’s a double helix copper coil,3/16 8 inches in length, all vapors that form during the boiling of the wash condenses against the cooling coils and turns into a liquid. A double helix has more surface area than a single coil.
Copper Mesh or Ceramic Rings
Packing for your distillation column is here. Copper mesh, there are many styles on the market today on this stuff. Be cautious about where you purchase your copper mesh. Some of the copper mesh is coming from overseas, it is NOT Pure Copper. Sometimes it is electroplated and they do not tell you. This will add poisons to your finished product. The copper that I chose to use is used in the nuclear industry to clean down machines, they can have no static whatsoever inside their facilities.
What is copper mesh used for? First thing its used for is to remove unwanted flavors and sulphurs from the fermentation or wash. You will see this by the first run, the copper mesh closest to the pot will be a brown color. This is the congeners and sulphurs it picks up. SS, Mesh or Scrubbers will NOT do this. The next positive aspect of copper mesh is it increases the abv. Just imagine you have a four-inch piece of copper pipe with no copper mesh inside that pipe, you run your still, and lets just say it comes out at 55 % alcohol. Now let’s do the same run but lets put copper mesh inside the pipe, your finished product will be 70-75% – so now we have increased 20 points in percentage. For those who want to make a neutral spirit like a vodka, it is definitely needed.
It is placed inside the columns wrapped up. Please check my youtube on how to pack your pipes with copper. Never force the copper mesh inside the tower. More copper mesh doesnt mean higher the proof. Do NOT overpack. The still purges because of this, or floods, when doing reflux. If you do want to check this, then breathe through the copper pipe with copper mesh in it, that is a great indication you have not overpacked.
I also have videos on how to clean your copper mesh. Check my youtube account Rainier Distillers.
Rashig Rings are the second best option. I would stick with the smaller diameter and it is a 3/16ths. They are ceramic that come from the earth. As far as I know the analysis breakdown of the rings, have no heavy metals or residues that will harm the alcohol and of course the person.
Third next would be using glass marbles, this is for those on a budget. For those that are doing it on the cheap side, you can use broken glass.Smashed and get yoruself a big strainer, take out the small bits, use that as your scrubber.
Copper Mesh
This is to pack our Copper Moonshine Alcohol Still- Alchemist distillation tower with. This copper packing is made to fit nicely inside a Copper distillation column. Copper mesh strips flavors and refines the alcohol to a higher proof. 4 rolls will pack a 24-inch distilling column by two-inches.
Extensions that I sell, see photos.
These extensions have multiple uses, the first being that they can be filled with plant material or herbs for doing infusions. Also for cleaning unwanted flavors and notes, congruents. The Alchemist tower purchase comes with one extension free already. the 3-inch tower purchase comes with two (2) free extensions and the 4-inch tower purchase comes with four (4) free extensions.
This is a distillers parrot in the photos section that looks like a copper bird. This allows the distiller to check the alcohol percentage or proof as the still runs thru the heads, hearts and tails. Moonshine and alcohol distillation equipment. All of these are original pieces of art, no two are quite the same.
