Boiler Pot Distilling

Why kegs for distilling boilers? Some home distillers use milk cans, others use pots or barrels. You cannot go past a beer keg used or new! They are usually around 14 or 16-gauge Stainless Steel, so they will last you a lifetime. You can do anything to a keg from a four-inch clean out, chopping it in half and welding another keg on top to make it 30-gallons.

The only downside to a keg is it is hard to clean out. That is why I suggest weld a four-inch ferrule to the top of the keg and a four-inch clean out on the side of the keg, so now you have two points of entry to clean the keg. You can order a keg with clean out from us, or even a window clean out kit. If you do not have clean out, you go to car wash and use a high pressure hose.

Have a look at my Deluxe Lazy Boy. You can choose to make your own keg boiler by tig welding. If you know someone that can weld, you can order the fittings from us, and then have them do this for you. You can make these electric by placing heating elements on the sides that screw into a coupling that is welded to the keg. Or you can use this with a stand over propane or open fire for those more experienced. Kegs are cheap to get, you have to release the pressure. There are plenty of youtubes on how to do this. To remove the spear and sanke.This is under a lot of pressure. If you do this incorrectly, you can hurt yourself or someone close. Take precaution. That is why I do these for you.

Does it look nice? When a keg is polished, it looks brand new, they come up quite nice. You can also request a never before used keg, not even for beer.

They are easy to repair if anything happens. Mostly they are maintenance free. I sell refurbished boilers, but lately I have been sending out brand new ones, never before used. It is just when I run out I use used kegs, so I always state they are refurbished, just in case. Is there a risk of scorching? Very low unless you have a high BTU burner going full-tilt and less than 1/3 liquid in the boiler. When you get to 202-204 you are into your tails end of the run.

This is a 100-Gallon boiler, SS with conical top. It can have any fittings you want. It can come with cleanouts or windows, spigots etc. The heating elements for this boiler I recommend to be minimum of 2x 5500-watt elements, even three of these, or whatever you want. This is tailored for micro distilleries.

All of these 55 and 100 barrels are food grade stainless steel refurbished. Reason I have gone this route is these are far better quality than you get from overseas. I have had long waits and not happy with what I have gotten so I have decided to build these myself for my clients. The wait time on these is 6-8 weeks, depending on modifications you need welded to it. I can say these barrels are all made in the USA and checked for best quality.

The 30-gallon boiler is two kegs welded together by a professional tig welder. It comes with two 4-inch cleanout windows: one metal, one glass (polycarbonate), and a spigot. There is a temperature gauge on top. It comes electric with four 1500-watt elements. Made from New Kegs.

It is all Stainless Steel. Fits the 3 and 4-inch Alchemist Copper Still.

You have a choice of the elements put in. 4500-5500 watt elements. I recommend no less that 2 4500-watts. Included in the price is the 2x 4500-watt elements. Comes with one 4-inch cleanout, one four-inch window, which can be a filling port. Comes with one thermometer on the boiler. Also, a 4-inch ferrule on top of the conical. 12-12 pitch conical top.

This should be controlled by a double phase controller or the new troll, which will run 2x 4500-watts. This allows you to control temperature.

It comes brushed stainless steel.

3000-watt 15-gallon moonshine still boiler keg. Includes 10-foot power cord & plug. A refurbished stainless steel beer keg. Set up to run on a normal 110-volt outlet. This will fit with our copper reflux moonshine stills. Just tell us what your size tower is and we fit it to that. Just put in your fave recipe and plug in. Must have minimum of 8-gallons wash before plugging in.

Best Deal! I am calling the lazy boy because not only can you run this with electric, you can run with gas at the same time. To bring up the BTUs. There is a hole in the side for cleaning. Which is the only complaint people have about the keg boilers. Now fixed. 4-inch hole. There is a spigot for emptying the keg. I have a photo of me cleaning it. You have a refilling hole and it acts as a temperature gauge. To fill the keg you just removed the temperature gauge. You never have to remove the still. Retail on this $450. Two 2-inch ferrules on the side for your electrical elements for quick removal. I sell this for 2-inch towers, but if you want 3 or 4-inch ferrule on top, you have to request.

Also clear window option, see below in drop down menu, and you can get caps to cover the elements if you want to pull out to use over propane or a wood fire. That is extra, you must request.
